Participate in the Yale Bologna Festival Parade

Join the St. Clair County Democrats as they march in the Bologna Festival Parade, Saturday, July 26, 2008. Staging will take place at the Yale High School, 5:30 P.M. Parade begins at 6:30 P.M.

All participants must wear the "We are all in the same boat" presentation tee shirt. Purchase one for $10 or borrow one and return it after the event.

When Marilyn Merrick, Chair, St. Clair County Democratic Party, passed away March 20, 2008, she left behind her family, friends, and her compatriots of the SCCDP. As for Marilyn’s SCCDP legacy, it is impossible to quantify. Marilyn knew that our country was approaching a tipping point and she accepted the job of building up the local Democratic Party and getting it ready to work for positive change.

Matt Wuchte, SCCDP member, stated, "Marilyn spent the last years of her life putting an amazing amount of effort into recruiting motivated Democrats to further the fundamental principles of our party. I feel privileged to have been one of those people."

Judy Morris, Treasurer, SCCDP, said, "Marilyn really wanted St. Clair County Democrats to come together and work together. We are on that road now. As we move ahead, we will always be thankful for Marilyn.

Upcoming Bowling FUNdraisers

Sunday, April 13, 2008 - Bowling at the Colony Bowl in Algonac.
This will start at 5:00 p.m. and will include three (3) games of bowling.

Saturday, July 12, 2008 - Bowling at the Bowl-O-Drome in Port Huron. This will start at 1:00 p.m. and will include three (3) games of bowling.

The role of this committee is to identify and utilize Party financial resources and develop a county wide communications network which will inform the public of our activities/objectives and acknowledge the accomplishments and needs of our Party members.

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE
CHAIR: ANNE BAKER
The role of this committee is to identify and conduct fundraising activities throughout the county for the purpose of obtaining contributions for the Party and also to increase awareness of our Party and its purposes.

ISSUES AND LETTERS COMMITTEE
CHAIR: MONA ARMSTRONG
The role of this committee is to identify and respond to issues and events through contact with the media, our elected officials, offices at the local, state and national level and related groups as identified.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

The role of this committee is to identify, recruit and maintain membership in our Party.

PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE

The role of this committee is to develop and disseminate a newsletter which will keep Party members informed of events, activities and initiatives.
